Coping In This Time Through Consistency

Dear Friend,

As the calendar turns to May this morning, we can reflect on how far we have come and envision where we eventually want to be.

The weeks that have passed by, in some ways, seem like a longer time period; perhaps the level of uncertainty and challenge we have faced has created this extended-spectrum of space. Yet, now, the initial shock has tempered, the events continue to unfold and there are indications that there may be, albeit gradually and partially, a re-opening of some parts of society.

Cautious optimism. Steady hope. Managed expectations. All of these are valid; however, none offer solid certainty. We are still in it.

Therefore, we have the choice to lean into the ironclad virtue of Consistency. This quiet yet essential quality can serve us in times like these whereby, a commitment to fundamentals that matter most, can offer the present certainty we seek.

With Consistency, the power does not lie in the scoreboard; rather, it resides in the process. Absolutes do not belong. Clarity of purpose does. And when we align with Consistency of mind, body and spirit...in a way that is meaningful to us...we have a much higher propensity for progress. And even more importantly...peace.
